Following is an award for the team for the work that I did at Putnam to process trade. It was great to be re-cognized for nifty work that I designed and implemented with the help of the team<\/p>\n\n\n

Putnam takes home best post-trade technology implementation of the year award<\/b><\/p>\n

During the 14th Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards held March 8 in New York City, Putnam Investments won the best post-trade technology implementation award. The awards, presented by the editors of Institutional Investor’s Fund Action<\/i> and Fund Directions<\/i> newsletters, are given annually to leaders across the mutual fund industry. This year’s awards ceremony included a new category: Best Post-trade Technology Implementation.<\/p>\n

Putnam was honored for its successful implementation of Markit’s Trade Processing platform to automate the trade confirmation process associated with over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. Putnam was the first mutual fund company to implement the product in a way that allowed for a significant increase in trading volumes while at the same time lowering the number of outstanding confirmations.<\/p>\n

Diane Doering, operational risk manager, accepted the award on behalf of Putnam. Those involved with the technology implementation included representatives from the Middle Office, ISD and Legal and include: David Bate, Seshu Dasari, Sam Garg, Chris Moniz, Jeremy Brady, Bob Leveille, and Shirish Ranjit.<\/p>\n
