When you are trying to create an ‘Engineering’ activities in the clearcase, it gives follow error:<\/p>\n

Unable to logon to ClearQuest user database “dbName”<\/p>\n

Solution<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Navigate to\u00a0Start, Run\u00a0and type in\u00a0cmd<\/li>\n
  2. Type in\u00a0set
    \nThe output will be similar to the following:
    \n
    \nATRIAHOME=C:\\Program Files\\Rational\\ClearCase
    \nIBMLDAP_ALTHOME=C:\\Program Files\\Rational\\common\\codeset
    \nPath=C:\\WINDOWS\\system32;<...>C:\\Program files\\Rational\\ClearCase\\bin;C:\\Program Files\\Rational\\common;
    \n<\/tt><\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If the above environment variables are not set correctly, you will need to run a repair on the installation for both ClearCase and ClearQuest.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Navigate to\u00a0Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.<\/li>\n
    2. Once\u00a0Add or Remove Programs\u00a0opens, in the list you should see\u00a0ClearQuest\u00a0and\u00a0ClearCase.
      \nNote:\u00a0If you installed ClearQuest using the IBM Rational Suite\u00ae Install, then you may see\u00a0Rational Suite\u00a0in the Add\/Remove programs list instead.<\/li>\n
    3. Select\u00a0Change\u00a0and then\u00a0Repair.
      \nNote:\u00a0You will need to perform this repair for both ClearCase and ClearQuest.<\/li>\n
    4. Once both ClearCase and ClearQuest are repaired, the missing environment paths should now be present. Verify this by running the\u00a0set\u00a0command again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
