Summary of Bio:

Shirish is a passionate problem solver.

He has over 20 years of experience in solving complex business problems. He has expertise on decomposing complex business problems so that those decomposed problems are simpler to solve. Thus, bring a elegant but simplicity in solution for a very complex problem.

He is one of the pioneer in designing and developing cloud native software. As a Principal Enterprise Architect and hands on Engineer, he has developed technology vision and strategies that achieve enterprise efficiency and increase business productivity through agility and business composability. He has been designing enterprise strategies with AI/ML so that an enterprise monetizes on their data. He considers “Data is new Oil.”

He has extensive experience and expertise in the Financial Services domain. He is an expert in  Investment Management domain. He has designed and developed multiple systems for a variety of large Investment Management companies. Those systems impact front, middle, and back office functions.

He has a special interest in writing efficient code that enables systems to be adaptable, extensible, scalable and efficient. He also has extensive experience in re-engineering existing code such that the systems are adaptable, extensible, scalable, and efficient.

His additional interests include bringing Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics into Trading and Trade processing systems to help achieve the highest ROI for our clients.

He continues to be active in mentoring and training junior developers.

He is an entrepreneur who is active in the Boston entrepreneur community. He was the Chair of MIT Enterprise Forum Cambridge, Software Entrepreneur Group, for 5 years and a Group founding member for 11 years. He has been involved in a variety of startups.

Shirish is an alumni of MIT Short Programs. Shirish holds a BA in Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science from Wabash College; and a Master of Science in Applied Economics and a Master of Science in Computing from Marquette University. His computing thesis work was in “Peer-to-Peer Distributed Computing” (Cloud Computing – Shirish Ranjit Computing Thesis) and his economics thesis was in “Valuation Currency Options Portfolio” using VAR models and using Interval Analysis.
